Successful 11th TAC Meeting in Rome Prepares for SEERC 2025 Conference

The 11th Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) Meeting of the South East European Regional Council (SEERC) of CIGRE took place on January 22, 2025, at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Roma "La Sapienza". The meeting brought together experts from across the region to discuss key aspects of the upcoming 5th SEERC Conference, scheduled for June 4-5, 2025, in Sarajevo.
Discussions focused on the conference program, paper reviews, and panel sessions, with 175 synopses submitted across four main topics. Key topics for the conference are increasing energy efficiency, integrating renewable energy capacities, employing new technologies for decarbonization, developing the electricity market, and addressing the resilience of electric power systems. A new "Functionality of Power Systems and Equipment" topic was introduced to accommodate high-quality papers outside the predefined topics. The committee also reviewed the SEERC 2024 Questionnaire results, highlighting progress in energy transition across member countries.
The event concluded with a strong commitment to fostering regional collaboration and innovation, ensuring a high-quality conference in Sarajevo.
