MB+TAC SEERC MEETING ON 28TH-29TH FEBRUARY 2024

SEERC CIGRE successfully held its Management Board and Technical Advisory Council meeting in Ljubljana!

In the Eurostars Uhotel Ljubljana, Slovenia, on February 28th, 2024, a meeting of SEERC CIGRE members took place. The President of SEERC, Mr. Edhem Bičakčić, opened the meeting by providing essential information about the new composition of the Management Board and the Technical Advisory Council for the period from 2023 to 2025.

A particularly significant event was the election of Mrs. Sabina Dacić-Lepare as the President of the TAC, which defined the activity plans leading up to the conclusion of the 5th SEERC conference planned for the following year to be held in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina.

At the meeting, reports on the activities of the working groups were presented, and preferential topics for the next SEERC conference, to be held in Bosnia and Herzegovina in 2025, were discussed. The thematic focus of the conference will be directed toward key aspects of energy efficiency, renewable energy, decarbonization, electric power market development, and digitalization of the electric power system.

In addition to representatives from Bosnia and Herzegovina, representatives attended the meeting from Austria, Croatia, Georgia, Greece, Italy, Kosovo, Montenegro, Serbia, Slovenia, Turkey, and virtually from Israel and Hungary, demonstrating the broad regional significance of SEERC CIGRE in advancing the electric power sector in Southeast Europe.
